Die Zieglerschen are a company that cares for people and helps them. The headquarters are in Wilhelmsdorf, a town in Upper Swabia. Die Zieglerschen were founded more than 180 years ago and have since opened many different facilities. These include clinics, senior citizen centers, schools, places for people with disabilities, boarding schools, kindergartens, therapy centers and advice centers. In total, there are around 60 locations between Stuttgart and Lake Constance where Die Zieglerschen offer their services.
Die Zieglerschen belong toDiakonie. Diakonie means service for people who need help. It is one of the Protestant churches in Germany.

Would you like to get to know life in Germany and improve your German? Can you imagine looking after people here and doing social work? Then join the International Voluntary Social Service! You will work with us, the ZieglerschenBut our partners, thatDiakonische Werk or the Via e. V., organize everything for you.
Everything you need to know about the voluntary social year:
- You are between 18 and 26 years old.
- You must have basic knowledge of German (level A2 or B1)
- You get 450 euros per month.
- You live for free in a shared apartment with other volunteers from all over the world.
- The voluntary social year lasts 12 months.
- You will receive a free German course.
- We will help you deal with the German authorities.
